| New Venue for
2008 - Crow Wing County Fair Grounds |

 For 2008 The Rally Up North has signed a contract to rent the
Crow Wing County Fair Grounds. The fair grounds will be closed
and restricted to rally participants only. There will be food,
drinks, a vendor midway, and live music all weekend. There will
be camping for tents and RV’s available. There are shower
facilities on site that will be clean and maintained. There is a
complete band shell with an outdoor music venue that is very
impressive. Buildings are already on reserve for poor weather
contingency plans. The Rally Area will be split into two areas.
The “Party Zone” where all wrist banded people have access to
food, drinks, vendors, and entertainment. The second area is for
people who upgrade to a camping wristband. The camping wrist
band gives access to the camping area and the “Party Zone”. If
you have a camping wristband you may have your own food and
drink in the camping area. No food or drink can be brought in to
the “Party Zone” but every thing you should need will be for
sale at reasonable prices with this area. It has always been and
will always be our intent to have a reasonably priced place for
bikers and non bikers to spend the day or the entire weekend
with great entertainment in a safe atmosphere.
The Rally Up North site will open at 9am on Friday the 29th and
campers and vendors must be out by noon on the 31st. Once you get
your wrist band you can come and go as you please. You can ride in
your own groups to destinations all over the lakes area. There will
be sponsor locations that will be ready for our bikers to stop by.
It is likely we will not be able to continue having an organized
ride this year. It has just became too dangerous on such a busy
weekend. We apologize to all of you who have enjoyed the group ride
as much as we have. |
